Discussion with a Science Communications Expert
Ross Andersen oversees the Science, Technology, and Health sections at the Atlantic. Prior to joining The Atlantic in 2015, he was the deputy editor of Aeon magazine, and before that, he was the science editor of the Los Angeles Review of Books. In addition to his work as an editor, Andersen is known for his award-winning feature essays, which straddle philosophy, technology, science, history, and the arts.

Intelligence and the Art of Science Communication with Dr. Aliza Watters
A collaboration with Common Question, a new undergraduate program that seeks to create interdisciplinary engagement between students and faculty around a fundamental question. This year's question is "What is Intelligence?" We were extremely fortunate to have Dr. Aliza Watters lead a discussion on this topic. Dr. Aliza Watters is the co-founder of Common Question and is a recipient of a JH Faculty Undergraduate Teaching Award. Her work focuses on how to blend science and the humanities to better communicate research and scholarship, it featured a fun discussion about science, writing, and intelligence.
American Society for Cell Biology/European Molecular Biology Organization Conference
An exciting opportunity to send members to the American Society for Cell Biology's annual conference in Washington, DC!
